Project Manager
John Owen
Project Manager of the SMART Tywi Farm Nutrient Partnership and Tywydd Tywi Weather Projects. Based at the Agriculture Research Centre, Gelli Aur John has a long history of delivering applied research. Most recently Prosiectslyri and the Grass Value projects. Previously he managed the College Farms for Coleg Sir Gâr.
John is involved with several farming organisations. He is a Council member and Trustee of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers and is Chair of the South West Wales TB Eradication Board. He is a Trehane Nuffield Scholar and a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies.
